  • Administrative Assistant

    The Neerlandia Co-op is seeking to hire an Administrative Assistant to fill a permanent part-time, week on week off role.

    What you’ll do:

    This position supports the proper recording and processing of daily financial transactions of the Neerlandia Co-op. This would include completing a variety of daily tasks in the following areas:

    • Answer phone calls and emails, redirecting them to appropriate departments
    • Provide general support by greeting and welcoming any customers entering the store
    • Accounts Receivable duties including but not limited to: preparation of monthly statements, account reconciliations as per inquiry or irregularity, post payments, preparation of quick payment rebate.
    • Complete daily bank deposit processing
    • Ensure daily cash float balancing and daily entry between POS till and accounts receivable is completed and correct
    • Complete data entry from POS systems to accounts receivable subledger
    • Complete daily reconciliations between POS systems, cash float and accounts receivable subledger
    • Provide a new member with an understanding of our Co-op’s membership
    • Assist with membership transfers and equity withdrawals
    • General administrative filing and other assignments as required

    Who you are:

    We are looking for a positive, approachable, and motivated individual with a drive to learn. High school diploma (or equivalent) is required, and relevant experience is preferred. We welcome candidates with a combination of relevant experience and/or education. Candidates will demonstrate the following:

    • Understanding of our Values (Integrity, Excellence, Responsibility, Community, and Accountability)
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
    • Strong attention to detail as well as organizational skills
    • Quality communication skills
    • Excellent time management skills required to reach daily/weekly/monthly deadlines
    • Ability to maintain proper focus during high volume work periods i.e. beginning/end of month
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills needed for building trusting relationships with member-owners

    The Neerlandia Co-op is seeking to hire an Administrative Assistant to fill a permanent part-time, week on week off role.
  • Fuel Truck Driver

    As a Fuel Truck Driver you would be responsible for carrying out fuel deliveries in safe, timely, and efficient manner while providing exceptional customer service.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Operate the delivery unit in a safe and lawful manner
    • Practice safe handling of products, and other equipment at all times, including completing daily truck and trailer safety checks
    • Verify that the product type(s) and quantity(s) match the delivery manifest before traveling
    • Maintain a delivery schedule and ensure the timely delivery of all products
    • Deliver and place products according to the customer’s desires, while ensuring a high level of safety is maintained
    • Confirm that all products delivered are invoiced correctly
    • Follow and maintain a customer contact program that ensures all customers receive the agreed upon deliveries
    • Notify the Fuel Manager of any potential customers or changes to volume required
    • Maintain and clean the delivery unit, keeping a record of all regular maintenance required, and scheduling appointments when needed
    • Maintain, organize and ensure the tidiness of all primary access facilities
    • Other duties as assigned by manager

     

    Requirements

    • Class 3 driver’s license
    • Clean driver’s abstract

    Job Type: Part-Time or Full-time and able to work Saturdays
