  • Bulk Petroleum Driver

    The Neerlandia Co-op Petroleum Department is looking to fill a Bulk Petroleum driver and sales rep position, see below for a description of responsibilities and requirements.

    Location: Barrhead County (and surrounding areas)

    Employment:

    • Seasonal overtime hours will be required

    Class 3 with Air and a clean driver’s abstract are required. Training will be provided to the successful candidate.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Delivery of products to customers including gas and diesel
    • Ensure the safe transfer of material being delivered
    • Collect payments for C.O.D. deliveries and to accounts receivable as required
    • Be responsible for the care, appearance, and washing of the truck, and to report to the supervisor any repairs that may be required
    • Observe all safety precautions in order to minimize hazardous delivery and working conditions
    • Provide information, assistance and service to customers in a manner which will promote the sale of product and meet the needs, requirements and expectations of the consumer
    • Maintain a good standard of appearance and personal hygiene
    • Duties on-site as directed

  • Soil Sampler

    The Neerlandia Co-op Agro Department is looking to fill a part-time seasonal Soil Sampling Technician position, see below for a description of responsibilities and requirements.

    Location: Barrhead County (and surrounding areas)

    Employment:

    • 3-5 month F/T Term split between 2019 spring and fall season, with the possibility of extension
    • Available for up to 40+ hours/week
    • Available to work weekdays and weekends

    Reporting to the Agro Department, you will be assigned to the collecting of core soil samples from grower’s fields. Using vehicles and tablets equipped with GPS technology, you will be responsible for ensuring quality control of core samples and accurate recording of sample information.

    Duties may include the following:

    • Travel to assigned rural locations to take core soil samples from grower’s fields;
    • Record sample data accurately using the latest technology;
    • Ensure quality samples retrieved, packaged and labeled appropriately
    • Meet with supervisor regularly to discuss field conditions;
    • Safe operation of a motorized vehicle

    Requirements/Attributes:

    • Valid driver’s license
    • Agricultural experience would be an asset;
    • Ability to carry up to 25 kg periodically;
    • Ability to work independently
    • Strong work ethic
    • Maintain a high level of integrity
