    The Neerlandia Coop Restaurant is looking to fill several serving positions in the restaurant, see below for a description of responsibilities and requirements.


    • Issue bills and accept payment
    • Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude
    • Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
    • Take/serve orders and answer questions or make recommendations for other products
    • Present restaurant menus and help customers select food/beverages
    • Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order

  • Licensed Heavy Duty Technician

    There is an immediate opening for a Licensed Heavy Duty Technician at our Parts & Service center. Ths position is full time during the week and during our busy season there is weekend and overtime work schedules available.

    Technical Skills:
    Ability to communicate effectively (Ability to read, write, & speak English fluently)
    Computer knowledge (Microsoft Windows & Office)
    Test parts and systems to ensure that they are working properly
    Identify mechanical problems, often by using computerized diagnostic equipment
    Follow checklists to ensure that all critical parts are examined
    Test and lubricate the vehicle’s engine and other major components
    Perform basic care and maintenance, including oil changes, tune ups, tire rotations/repairs, alignments, exhaust repairs, engine rebuilds, powertrain repair and others
    Repair or replace worn parts, such as brake pads or shoes and wheel bearings
    Disassemble and reassemble parts
    Use testing equipment to ensure that repairs and maintenance are effective
    Explain to Service Advisor the mechanical or computer problems and the repairs done on customer vehicles
    Achieve targeted margins on revenue categories
    Physically fit to perform required duties of job description
    Excellent knowledge of vehicle mechanical
    Has good knowledge of applicable laws and regulations regarding vehicle emissions, safety and the customer needs
    Has neat and legible writing

    Valid high school diploma or equivalent
    Valid driver’s license
    Heavy Duty Apprentice or Ticket/Red Seal Certification
    The ability to continually learn and upgrade skill set

    General Administrative Tasks:
    Review client’s vehicle maintenance schedules consistently with every appointment
    Ability to implement & support policies, systems & procedures
    Utilize service line prioritization system provided by facility
    Maintain a clean and tidy facility / personal workstation
    Effectively collect and communicate necessary information and concerns to Service Advisor
    Keep Service Advisor informed of vehicle service progress in a timely fashion
    Ensure walk around visual inspection is performed on the vehicle at arrival time

    Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
    Conflict Resolution Skills – Is able to handle stressful situations when required
    Adhere to shop safety standards, taking all possible precautions to insure the safety and health of self and others through maintaining a safe work environment
    Understands & demonstrates the ability to accept change in a positive manner
    Displays flexibility, creativity, and an enthusiastic attitude towards team environment
    Develop & maintain positive / professional relationships with suppliers
    Attend and participate in shop meetings
