  • Firearms Sales Support Assistant

    Neerlandia Co-op is hiring a Firearms Sales Support Assistant at our site in Neerlandia, Alberta. This position offers a flexible schedule of either part-time or full-time employment.     What you’ll do:

    When you join our team, you become a key element to our success. The function of this position is to ensure that customers are greeted and assisted with their sporting goods needs. You will become one of the Neerlandia Co-op Firearms Sales Assistant’s that customers not only request but return to for further purchases because of the trusted relationship made. Other specific tasks included within this role are as follows:

    • Receiving products
    • Filing maintenance
    • Tracking and recording inventory
    • Restocking of supplies and equipment

    Who you are:

    You are looking for a career in Sporting Goods and hold the following assets:

    • Minimum grade 12 or equivalent
    • Experience with basic computer programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email and more
    • Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and time management skills
    • Honest and trustworthy, results driven
    • You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives
    • Experience in Firearm Sales would be an asset

    The function of this position is to ensure that the building materials yard and warehouse are organized and stocked, able to efficiently supply our customers. Also ensuring that customers are served to a high standard all the while maintaining a safe environment for customers and employees.

    • Guide customers through their projects and informing them of products available.
    • Delivering building products to customers.
    • Ensuring the building materials yard and warehouse are in a well maintained, neat and safe environment.

  • Automotive Technician

    AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN

    Job Expectations

    Summary

    Due to the busy schedule at the Neerlandia Co-op Service Center we are looking to grow our team and add another Automotive Technician. The Automotive Technician is responsible for the repair and preventive automotive maintenance.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    • Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and alignments.
    • Diagnosing and repairing a wide range of light to medium duty vehicles.
    • Communicating to advisor about the status of vehicles to keep customers informed.
    • Using computerized testing equipment, conduct extensive diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of customers’ problems and provide accurate repair recommendations.

    Accountability

    Automotive Technician will report directly to the Service Centre Manager

    To align objectives with Neerlandia Co-op shared values, purpose, and vision

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience

    • Valid high school diploma or equivalent
    • Apprentice or Ticket/Red Seal Certification
    • Preference will be given to 3rd/4th-year apprentice or Journeyman

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build lasting relationships
    • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written communication)
    • High level of energy with strong customer service skills
    • Ability to handle transactions accurately and be responsible
