  • Deli/Bakery Clerk

    The Neerlandia Co-op is hiring a full-time Deli/Bakery Clerk for our single site location in Neerlandia, Alberta.

    What you’ll do:

    Primarily, you will be responsible for preparing, packaging, and presenting food created within the Deli/Bakery department. Other duties to be completed simultaneously are maintaining cleanliness of the workspace and providing exceptional customer service to all who enter our grocery store. Specific tasks include:

    • Greet customers and provide information regarding any Deli/Bakery items.
    • Safety manage food operation machines and equipment.
    • Ensure all products within the Deli/Bakery are properly labeled with prices and dates.
    • Clean and properly store all food equipment and utensils daily.
    • Provide carry-out service for all customers.
    • Stock deli/bakery shelves, coolers, freezers and create product displays.
    • Other tasks as required.

    Who you are:

    You are looking for a career in Customer Service and:

    • Have achieved a Grade 12 High School Diploma.
    • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
    • Have a valid driver’s license.
    • 1-3 years of customer service would be considered an asset.
    • You are honest and trustworthy, results-oriented, and strive to do your best.
    • Believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.

    Neerlandia Co-op is hiring a Building Materials Yard Attendant at our site in Neerlandia, Alberta.

    What you’ll do:

    The function of this position is to ensure that the building materials yard and warehouse are organized and stocked, able to efficiently supply our customers. Also ensuring that customers are served to a high standard all the while maintaining a safe environment for customers and employees.

    • Guide customers through their projects and informing them of products available.
    • Delivering building products to customers.
    • Ensuring the building materials yard and warehouse are in a well maintained, neat and safe environment.

  • Automotive Technician

    AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN

    Job Expectations

    Summary

    Due to the busy schedule at the Neerlandia Co-op Service Center we are looking to grow our team and add another Automotive Technician. The Automotive Technician is responsible for repairs and preventive automotive maintenance.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    • Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and alignments.
    • Diagnosing and repairing a wide range of light to medium duty vehicles.
    • Communicating to advisor about the status of vehicles to keep customers informed.
    • Using computerized testing equipment, conduct extensive diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of customers’ problems and provide accurate repair recommendations.

    Accountability

    • Automotive Technician will report directly to the Service Centre Manager
    • To align objectives with Neerlandia Co-op shared values, purpose, and vision

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience

    • Valid high school diploma or equivalent
    • Apprentice or Ticket/Red Seal Certification
    • Preference will be given to 3rd/4th-year apprentice or Journeyman

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build lasting relationships
    • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written communication)
    • High level of energy with strong customer service skills
    • Ability to handle transactions accurately and be responsible
