Agro Administration – Temporary, Full-Time (Maternity Leave Coverage)

Summary

The Agro team is seeking for the role of Agro Administration to join or team and provide coverage during a maternity leave period.  This position is responsible for providing support to the Agro and Grain Handling department through accurate and timely processing of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Inventory Management. This role ensures smooth day-to-day administrative operations and supports seasonal workload demands. Hours are full-time with flexibility depending on seasonal requirements. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process Accounts Payable for Agro and Grain Handling venders.

  • Process Accounts Receivable including customer account maintenance, billing accuracy, and monitoring balances.

  • Assist with daily, monthly, and year-end inventory tasks as well as maintaining accurate records for fertilizer, crop protection, seed, bins, augers and other inventory categories.

  • Support the Agro team with purchase order entry, receiving documentation, and product coding.

  • Provide administrative support to the Agro Manager and department staff as required.

  • Assist with customer inquiries related to statements, accounts, and product availability.

  • Ensure all administrative work aligns with Co-op policies, accounting standards, and auditing requirements.

  • Observe all safety and confidentiality guidelines.

Accountability

  • Reports directly to the Agro Manager

  • Aligns with the Neerlandia Co-op’s vision and mission statements.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma required.

  • Post-secondary training in administration, accounting, or business is an asset.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and customers.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Point of Sales software.

  • Ability to adapt to changing seasonal workloads.

  • Ability to follow protocols, procedures, and deadlines.
