Deli/Bakery Clerk
Summary
Primarily, you will be responsible for preparing, packaging, and presenting food created within the Deli/Bakery department. Other duties to be completed simultaneously are maintaining cleanliness of the workspace and providing exceptional customer service to all who enter our grocery store.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide information regarding any Deli/Bakery items.
- Safety manage food operation machines and equipment.
- Ensure all products within the Deli/Bakery are properly labeled with prices and dates.
- Clean and properly store all food equipment and utensils daily.
- Provide carry-out service for all customers.
- Stock deli/bakery shelves, coolers, freezers and create product displays.
- Other tasks as assigned by supervisor/manager.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Food safety is considered an asset
- Prior experience working in a retail setting would be considered an asset
- 1-3 years of customer service would be considered an asset
- High School Diploma

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly
- Ability to lift, pull, push minimum of 50lbs
- Ability to follow protocols and directions
