Agro Repair and Maintenance

Summary

The Agro Repair and Maintenance role is responsible for the general upkeep of the Agro department buildings, equipment and yard. This role plays a key part in the efficiency of the Agro department operations.  

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintenance of fertilizer plants, fertilizer equipment and Agro warehouses
  • General repair and maintenance of Agro equipment including but not limited to; fertilizer spreaders, NH3 equipment and vehicles
  • Dry Fertilizer tender truck driving, NH3 delivery unit driving and skid steer operation
  • Upkeep of yard and buildings
  • Responsible for the care, appearance and washing of units and to report promptly any necessary repairs and undertake repairs if possible
  • Observe all safety precautions
  • Provide information, assistance, and services to customers in a manner which will promote the sale of product and meet the needs, requirements, and expectations of the customer.

Accountability

  • Reports directly to the Agro Manager

  • Align objectives with Neerlandia Co-ops shared values, purposes, vision and mission

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma at minimum

  • Experience operating equipment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to lift, pull and push a minimum of 50lbs
  • Ability to follow protocols and directions
  • Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail is required
  • Commitment to safety and operational excellence
  • Knowledge and experience with welding is an asset
  • Knowledge and experience with NH3 is an asset
  • A class 3 drivers license is an asset
